Last night I went for drinks at Manly Wine by Gazebo. It must have been a quiet night, as it was the first time we have got through the door! The last couple of times I have been past the place has been packed with a long line out the front. But last night was so quiet we even got a seat. The place looks a bit like the Ivy with an eclectic range of fake plants, pink flamingos and Catholic ornaments which made me feel like I had walked into a scene from Baz Luhrmann's film 'Romeo and Juliet'. The lighting is a great mix of candlelight and old fashioned coloured lampshades oddly positioned on the walls.

But the real reason I would go back there is for the wine and cocktail list! The menu is great reading just on it's own, I can't wait to go back and try the blood orange and vanilla bellini, but next time I will remember not to be the designated driver.
They have a pretty cool website: thegazebos.com.au/manly
